Expandable habitats may take us to Mars
- Expandable habitats have only been tested in low-Earth orbit
- Tested between 85 miles - 2,000 miles in altitute
- Believe habitats are too big (reason why they can't travel the distance needed)
- Hope to remake habitats to have the potential needed to travel throughout the solar system
- NASA are planning to spend more than $50 million for things such as: life support systems and radiation protection
- NASA still do not know when they can send humans to Mars
