Airbus hopes to be selling passenger planes powered by hybrid engines by 2030.
- The European aircraft manufacturer is planning to team up with German's SIEGY company
- Hoping to develop hybrid planes that can carry up to 100 passengers
- Aircraft will have a combination of electric power and conventional fuel
- Hopes to consume 25% less fuel than an average Toyota car
- Plane will be powered by jet fuel when reaching cruising altitudes
- Expected to have a range of 620 miles
